Catherine Silver

Catherine B. Silver, was born in Mexico and raised in France came to the US in 1964. She is a psychotherapist and a painter who shares her time between New York and East Hampton. She uses insights from psychoanalysis in her paintings and creativity and art in her clinical work. She has been painting in New York at the Artists Students League and belong for 20 years to a group of painters under the guidance of Anna Parathyras. She is a member of the Artists Beit Midrash in NY and she is a past member of The Crazy Monkey Gallery in Amagansett. She has exhibited at Guild Hall, Ashawagh Hall, and at the Depot Gallery in Montauk. She uses oil, pastels encaustic,and found objects in her work.
