Jerry Schwabe

Jerry’s art career began with sculpture and pottery and now includes watercolors and oil painting.  He has studied at the National Academy School of Fine Arts, New School University, Art Student’s League, School of Visual Arts, Victor D’Amico Institute, Amagansett Applied Arts and the Golden Eagle. His sculptures and/or paintings have been exhibited at the former Siena Spirituality Center in Water Mill, NY, the Art Auction at the Queen of the Rosary Church in Bridgehampton, NY, War & Peace Art Show in East Hampton, NY, Guild Hall Members Exhibitions and Guild Hall Clothes Line Shows in East Hampton, as well as the former Über House Gallery in Sag Harbor. NY. Jerry also exhibited at The Crazy Monkey Gallery in Amagansett, NY, where he won “Best in Show” at the Members Exhibition in 2007. Jerry was commissioned to sculpt a bronze horse for the 2007 August Gala  & Auction for EQUUS and Equestrian Sports Foundation, Inc. His sculpture was on display at The Surface Library, Springs – East Hampton, NY and he was a Finalist for The Retreat’s Juried Art Show held at Hampton Road Gallery- Southampton, NY. Recent shows include a solo Show at East Hampton Indoor Tennis Club, a part of the “Round Up the Unusual Suspects” at Ashawagh Hall and part of the show ”Fresh Start” at Mayfair Gallery in East Hampton. Jerry is also a part of the “Artist Collective” Exhibitions at Hampton Road Gallery – Southampton, NY. His work is in private collections in the United States and Europe.
